Meet Max Sloan, Account Manager at Senior Portal
As Account Manager, Max Sloan is the newest member of the Senior Portal team. He oversees client relationships and project execution according to tight deadlines and within scope. He serves as our clients’ key point of contact and advocate, and he provides onsite training and support.
Having worked previously at upscale inns in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, Max is building upon his customer service background in his new role, and we’re so glad to have him. He’s quickly established himself as a critical member of the team, one who’s known to be dedicated, hard-working and affable.
“I enjoy the fast-paced startup atmosphere here at Senior Portal,” explains Max. “It’s exciting and great for my career growth, and I enjoy contributing to our end users’ quality of life.”
When asked about the most valuable job skills Max has learned thus far, he lists the following:
- How to work collaboratively with teammates
- How to change his written and spoken language to fit his audience
- How to remain organized in order to focus on clients’ needs
Let’s get to know Max more personally…
Are there any random, interesting facts about yourself that you could share? I was part of (and briefly president of) an a cappella group throughout all four years of college. I’m also bilingual.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us. I once placed 8th in the nation (for my age group) at jumping rope.

What is your favorite quote? “Courage is… when you know you’re licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what.” (Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird)
What do you like to do in your spare time? I love to sing and write. I’m also a sucker for a good crossword.
What is the best vacation you’ve had? If it counts as a vacation, I spent a college semester abroad, studying in Valencia, Spain. (I also spent two weeks in high school living with a host family in Valencia.)
What is on your bucket list? I want to see the Northern Lights from a glass-roofed igloo in Lapland, Finland.
When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried? It was New Year’s Eve, at an admittedly stupid joke my best friend made.
What would be the title of your autobiography? I would title it The Ol’ College Try. The reason is that my family taught me to give things my best shot. Even when I’m not an expert on something and even when I’m a bit intimidated, I’ve learned to put
